Hi, Jack! Publishing is een publicatieplatform uit Nederland, opgericht in 2025, bestaande uit vijf kunstenaars uit Amsterdam en Den Haag: Bernice Nauta, G.C. Heemskerk, Kim David Bots, Shani Leseman en David Kloosterboer. Binnen Hi, Jack! worden methoden als bootlegging, hi-jacking, sampling, kopiëren, restaging en hervertellen ingezet om tot eclectische publicaties te komen in kleine oplage (20–50 exemplaren).
Ideeën voor publicatieprojecten ontstaan vanuit de uiteenlopende interesses van leden. Soms voelen we de noodzaak iets toe te voegen aan bestaande projecten, zoals een tentoonstelling over moederschap; soms komt een publicatie voort uit persoonlijke urgentie. Andere projecten onderzoeken afkomst, zoals een zine over de Boeroes van Suriname. De publicaties bestaan uit knipsels, museumflyers, straatvondsten, glitters, geprinte foto’s, stickers, ingescande stoffen, wetenschappelijke teksten, tekeningen en stempels. Ze zijn geen conclusies, maar denkobjecten: middelen om onderwerpen uiteen te rafelen, te bevragen en opnieuw te configureren. Het doel is niet helderheid of definitieve uitspraken, maar het leggen van visuele en tekstuele verbanden die buiten de context van de publicatie nog niet bestonden, en zo nieuwe perspectieven mogelijk maken voor zowel makers als lezers in uiteenlopende contexten en situaties.

Sometimes we feel the need to add something to existing projects, such as an exhibition on motherhood; sometimes a publication stems from personal urgency. Other projects explore origins, such as a zine about the Boeroes of Suriname. The publications consist of clippings, museum flyers, street finds, glitter, printed photos, stickers, scanned fabrics, scholarly texts, drawings, and stamps. They are not conclusions, but objects for reflection: tools to unravel, question, and reconfigure topics. The goal is not clarity or definitive statements, but to establish visual and textual connections that did not yet exist outside the context of the publication, thereby enabling new perspectives for both creators and readers in diverse contexts and situations.
