Voor het Kiosk-project van Hi, Jack! Publishing op de Dappermarkt richt het collectief zich op gleaning; het bijeenrapen van wat achterblijft of over het hoofd wordt gezien, als methode en als lens op hedendaagse economieën, waar hergebruik, onzekerheid en informele circulatie het dagelijks leven steeds meer bepalen. Tijdens de markt zullen ze ter plekke een zine samenstellen met afgedankte materialen zoals verpakkingen, etensresten en gevonden afbeeldingen, aangevuld met tekeningen en bijdragen van bezoekers, waardoor de publicatie een collectief portret van de markt wordt.
Centraal in dit proces staan de duiven en meeuwen die de Dappermarkt bewonen, die ze zien als niet-menselijke mede-producenten en deskundige gleaners, wier overleving afhangt van de ritmes van overvloed en afval op de markt; hun aanwezigheid benadrukt een over het hoofd geziene economie, waarin de menselijke handel voortdurend de voorwaarden schept voor andere vormen van leven en arbeid. Door de aandacht te vestigen op deze vogels, en hun rol in het herverdelen van wat achterblijft, verbindt het project ecologische en economische systemen, en toont het dat gleaning niet alleen een marginale activiteit is, maar een fundamentele, gedeelde praktijk tussen soorten. De zine wordt lokaal gedrukt en tijdens de markt verspreid in ruil voor een kleine donatie, waarbij de opbrengst gedoneerd zal worden aan SOS Duif. Hiermee raakt het project betrokken bij zorg, wederkerigheid en alternatieve waardesystemen, terwijl de onderlinge relaties tussen de markt, de menselijke deelnemers en de gevleugelde bewoners worden versterkt.

We are happy to announce the 6th edition of Wobby Wonderland on Saturday, March 21. For the first time, our cosy fair is leaving Tilburg, as part of OPZICH at PLT Theater in Heerlen. OPZICH is a literary festival which offers a program including Ester Naomi Perquin, Petra de Koning, Lamyae Aharouay, and Spinvis.
Wobby Wonderland is a DIY publishing & printed matter fair bringing together independent publishers, illustrators, artists, and collectives who present and sell publications, zines, art prints, and other printed matter – sharing the stories behind their work. It highlights unique voices and explores how image, text, and design come together outside traditional publishing.

This summer, Museum Huis van het boek presents the exhibition All the Knowledge in the World, featuring works by artists such as Fiona Tan, Efrat Zehavi, and Frédéric Bruly Bouabré. The exhibition delves into humanity’s enduring compulsion to gather, systematize, and preserve knowledge. Historical masterpieces—like Avicenna’s Canon of Medicine and the Enlightenment’s emblematic Encyclopédie by Diderot—are placed in dialogue with contemporary art and artist’s books. The show invites reflection on the human desire to comprehend the entirety of the world’s knowledge: why do we seek to collect it all, and what does that
impulse reveal about us?

The accompanying book market brings together creators of extraordinary books. Explore a curated selection of artists, writers, artist-led periodicals, and independent publishers. The market fosters encounter and conversation around the artist’s book as both object and idea. A rare opportunity to acquire a unique edition or publication.
